Coronavirus Policy

The health and wellbeing of our Young Engineers is very important to us. We want to ensure workshops are as safe as possible by following the latest government guidelines around health and safety and to make sure the days are as fun and enjoyable as possible.

We will take the following measures:

  • Each child will have their own Lego Engineering kit and art resources will not be shared between children. If help is required at a close distance, children will be assisted by teachers who will be wearing a face covering .

  • All equipment will be disinfected using anti-bacterial sprays at the end of each session.

  • Classrooms will be cleaned daily at the end of the session by the school cleaners.

  • We regret that no snacks will be provided. All children are to bring their own lunch, water bottle and snacks from home as we will have a no sharing between children policy. During the summer months we request children to bring in 2 bottles of water.

  • Hand sanitiser stations - we will have hand sanitiser in the classroom and wipes for children to use as well as in bathrooms. Children will be fully supervised whist washing hands and asked to wash their hands at regular intervals with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

  • We will have a 1:6 staff to child ratio at all times.

  • All first aid will be administered by first aid qualified staff wearing disposable gloves and a mask. Please note our accident rate is very low from past events.

  • We will check each child’s temperature upon arrival every day and have a thermometer in the classroom should we need to need to use it. If a child has a temperature above 37.5 degrees, they will not be allowed to attend the workshops and a credit note will be given.

  • Should any child display symptoms, we will contact you / emergency contact that is listed on your booking form and request a pick up as soon as possible.

  • We request you not to send your child in should they or anyone in your household display any symptoms relating to Covid-19. Should your child or anyone in your household test positive with Covid 19, please inform us immediately so that we can make the appropriate decisions according to government guidelines.

  • Parents / guardians will be asked to drop of their child at the Reception area of the Eastbury Road entrance where signage will be displayed regarding social distancing. Please could we request that parents / guardians do not gather in groups around the drop off / pick up area where possible.

  • A credit note will be given upon request should we have any changes through government announcements and need to cancel our events.
